“Allow yourself guilt-free time.”

So many times we live our lives doing what others want us to do or what we think is expected of us. This may be practical at work, where you need to fulfill your job duties, but your personal life is different.

If you’re always doing what others want, you end up neglecting your own interests, needs and desires. Over time, your spirit withers and you feel caught in an undertow of survival.

You’re important and so is the time you need for yourself! Pull out your calendar and mark some time off, just for you. Do it, even if it’s only 30-minutes every few days. Consider this time an investment in your emotional health and wellness. Enjoy it without guilt, no ifs, ands or buts. This is time to give back to yourself!

“Adventure is as near as stepping out your front door…”

Too often we think of adventure as this big event that we have to plan way in advance. We think arrangements must be made, schedules coordinated, flights booked, time off secured, etc. With such planning the “adventure” of the adventure is easily lost.

Adventure is really a decision to do something that inspires awe, from within. It can be simple, uncomplicated and spontaneous.

When you’re out and about, today, try to look at things in a new way. Approach your tasks with a fresh sense of curiosity. See something new, smell something new, touch something new.

Dare to explore and enjoy the experience of living. You will discover that adventure is easily found in an otherwise ordinary day.

“What you think and say determines your personal power.”

Do you frequently hear yourself saying things like, “I can’t do that,” “It’s beyond me,” or, “I am not the person for this task?”

If you express negativity often enough, your mind will believe it as truth. It becomes a self -fulfilling prophecy and the longer it goes on the more you will be driven by false beliefs. You’ll be left feeling powerless and out of control.

Stop this vicious cycle!

Take notice of your inner chatter and vow to transform the “can’ts” into “cans.” Your internal voice must support you and give you reason to believe in yourself. It must foster respect and drive your potential. You are a capable woman, capable of endless possibilities.

Harness your negative thoughts today and make the transformation that destines you to greatness.

“Silence is sometimes the best answer.”

From an early age, we’ve all been taught the importance of problem solving. Yet, sometimes, we can help people more by not trying to find solutions. In fact, on occasion, silent listening and empathy can be a priceless gift.

People who are grieving the loss of a loved one or a relationship, need time to mourn, not quick solutions. They need you to listen while they pour out their hearts; they want a silent hug, not instant answers.

A friend who is ranting and raving about her partner may just need to let off steam. An understanding smile and a hand on the shoulder may be the best support you can give.

Why not try a little silence today? You may find it says more than a thousand words!

“Take charge of your destiny, think ‘I, Incorporated!’”

When you think of yourself as a company and your boss as a client, you not only build your value to others, you increase your personal satisfaction and decrease frustrations.

Suddenly, you’re not forced to work or meet high standards because of your boss’s expectations. Instead, you give your best because you choose to give your client superior service. You develop your skills to become more marketable to future clients. And you keep an eye on the marketplace, ensuring you’re equipped to move on if better opportunities strike.

Change your mind-set today and let the entrepreneur within you shine. When you work for yourself, not only are you in the driver’s seat of your future, your value increases by leaps and bounds.

Can you believe that as many as 90,000 thoughts a day pass through our brains! Most of those thoughts are the same ones, over and over. The trouble is, that if the majority of our thoughts are negative, repetition will make them seem like truth.

The good news is that since we have the ability to program ourselves to believe negative things about ourselves, we also have the ability to program ourselves to believe in positive things.

As you go through your day, focus on the chatter going on inside your head. If you don’t like what you’re hearing, then stop, and consciously choose a brighter thought. As you become aware of your thoughts, it will become easier to program yourself to think in positive ways that serve you better!

Many of us have dreamed of winning the lottery or fantasized about how happy we would be if only we had great wealth.

Compared to the bulk of the world, you are already enormously wealthy. You have possessions that most people only dream of, and access to opportunities that many women can hardly fathom. You have food in the fridge, clothes on your back and a roof over your head.

You have the wealth that others desire.

“Never please to appease.”

Do you go to great lengths to please others or cover up your feelings, because you fear abandonment or rejection? If so, why?

The truth is, you run less risk of rejection if you offer others your true and unembellished self.

When you’re up front your real opinions, feelings and interests, you stand on solid ground. Being genuine offers others the real you, right from the get-go, and they can choose to take it or leave it. Just as you can choose to take or leave them!

When you know others are responding to the real you, you no longer have to worry about letting down your guard or being rejected later. This is a position of great strength.
Try living as the real you! When you do, others are naturally attracted to who you really are!
